Jake Mendes is a Colorado Native, and a 2010 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Musical Theater and Dance. He lived in New York City for five years, performing, directing and choreographing for Broadway, Off-Broadway and emerging artists, and in 2012 began to combine his love of physicality and form with the health and fitness world. Alongside the classes he teaches at Orangetheory Fitness, Jake continues to act and perform in the Denver area, and is also a part-time theater director at Green Mountain High School. Jake can do the splits, thoroughly enjoys pistachios, and his favorite color is cerulean. (Certified in: ACE Fitness CPT, NCCPT, Annette Lange Pre-Post Natal, ZUMBA, TRX, dotFit Supps)

I love everything related to Power Day! Sprints, Jumps, Explosive energy!
Patience Cogar is thrilled to coach at Orange Theory bringing with her 15 years of fitness experience. In addition to coaching at OTF, Patience is a Pilates Instructor at Pilates Downtown at the Denver Athletic Club. Patience also has an extensive background as a marathon,swim, and triathlon coach. She was assistant head coach for the US Summer Olympics Swim Trials in 2012. She is a former competitive Ironman triathlete, having competed in seven Ironman events. She also traveled the country extensively as a marathon coach for Team in Training with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Patience is a graduate of McNeese State with a degree in Health and Wellness Promotions and is a native of Louisiana. While she misses the fresh seafood from back home, she loves her new home and the mountains of Colorado!

Anything uphill and forward.
Matt grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and played baseball, basketball, and soccer throughout his youth, including pitching and winning the Indiana State Championship game in 2002. Matt graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Movement and Sport Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Matt has worked as a personal trainer and general manager since 2009. He is an avid triathlete, qualifying for his age group national championships in 2012, and competing in many long-distance endurance events including Ironman Wisconsin and Ironman Boulder. Matt always tries to push himself in everything that he does and inspire others to do the same. He strives to bring out the best in each person and allow them realize their full potential.
